Q. Do your candles burn clean?
A. Yes, we blend our wax and use primed wicks. If the candle is kept out of draught, they will burn straight and burn clean without soot.
Q. Do your candles drip?
A. As long as it is kept out of drafts, the candle will not drip but will burn straight and form a tunnel.
Q. Can we get this candles in different colours ?
A. Yes, you can place and order for the candle in the colour of your choice by paying 50% of the cost at the time of placing the order.
Q. How long should you light a candle?
A. As with all candles, the first burn is the most important. To begin, candles should burn one hour for every 1 inch in diameter of the actual candle size.
Q. Where should I store my candles when not in use?
A. Store your candles in a cool, dry, dark place on a flat surface, such as a drawer or cabinet. Besides distorting the shape of the candle, direct sunlight can also cause the colour to fade like many products.
Q. Why don’t you add more fragrance to the candles?
A. There is a maximum amount of fragrance that can be added to a candle before it no longer burns cleanly or properly. Too much fragrance, or fragrances not approved for use in candles can cause a candle to burn improperly or unsafely. The longer you keep the candle, the stronger the fragrance will be as the candles cures.
Q. Why are your candles more costly than the ones I can buy in the market, especially the beautiful ones made in China?
A. We wouldn’t really want to comment on this. Our candles are hand made, hand poured and not machine made or mass made. We use the finest waxes and fragrance oils and do not believe in compromising on the quality.
Q. Will you give a discount if I purchase more?
Retail pricing and wholesale pricing are always different, if you are interested in buying in bulk, or a reseller, please message us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Q. What makes your soaps so good?
A. I don’t use any animal fats in my soap, they are vegan. Only high quality oils are used. I make them scented with only essential oils, no synthetic oils are used. In my handmade soaps there are no harsh detergents as you usually find in mass produced soaps, they retain all the glycerine. Not only do they smell great but they also lather up nicely and moisturize your skin.
Q. How long will your soaps last?
A. Our soaps will keep for up to a year but we recommend you use them within 6 months.
Q. I have sensitive skin, can I use your handmade soap?
A. We highly recommend you try handmade soap. All our soaps have natural beneficial oils as well as glycerine to help moisturize your skin. We do not use any synthetics, dyes, preservatives or petroleum products in our products. Our process produces a very mild soap. We think you will notice the difference with the very first use.
Q. Is your soap "Tearless"?
A. As in the case with all real soap, our soap is not “Tearless.” Care must be taken not to get in the eyes.
Q. Do you have a store front? Can I buy in person?
A. This is an Internet-based store. I do sell from my home, if you are local just email me or call and we will see what we can do. We also are participating in local craft shows and exhibitions throughout the year. We will update our Events calendar on Facebook as soon as dates & times are established. See our events page for dates and times.
Q. I'm allergic to fragrance - Do you have any soap for me?
A. Yes, we make unscented versions of every soap we make, from our 100% Olive Oil Castile Soap, to our goat milk and shea butter soaps. You may detect a slight odour in some of our unscented soaps due to the natural ingredients used, especially unscented goat milk or soaps with cocoa butter.
Q. I have sensitive skin and can't use most soaps. Will I be able to use yours?
A. Yes, most likely you will be able to use our soaps because they are incredibly mild and gentle. Most commercial soaps are detergent based, using lots of synthetic ingredients, and that's what usually causes skin reactions. That's very different from how we make our soaps. We don't use any artificial colourants, hardeners, latherer or preservatives. If you have allergies to fragrance, then we suggest you either select scents derived from 100% natural 'Essential Oils' or an unscented soap.
Q. How long does a bar of your soap typically last?
A. Most of our customers say a bar of our soap lasts them between 3-4 weeks. This is based on normal use. If you're lathering up six different times because you're enjoying the scent and experience, obviously a bar isn't going to last that long! As the saying goes - your mileage may vary.
Q. What should I do to make my soap last longer?
A. Let your soap dry out between uses, by putting your soap on some kind of a soap dish that allows air to circulate around the bar. A 'proper' soap dish will either raise the bar up for air to circulate from beneath, or contain air holes for drainage of water below the soap. If you store your soap in the little alcove built into most shower stalls and tub surrounds, the shower spray will continually soak your soap. You will literally see your soap's glycerine, and your money, go down the drain.
Q. How is my order shipped?
A. We generally ship all orders by India Speed Post. If it is a local purchase, we use a courier or hand deliver at nominal charge. You can also pick up the order from our place.
Q. When will my order be shipped?
A. We normally ship individual customer orders within 3 business days - but during holidays, it may take 5-6 days.
Q. Will you ship to International Locations?
A. Absolutely, yes. Although the postage is very high. We prefer to use PayPal for international transactions.
Q. My order was damaged in shipping. What should I do?
A. Please contact us immediately to let us know what happened, and we'll arrange for you to return the damaged item(s) to us. We will replace the item(s) free of charge including shipping.
Q. Do you guarantee your products?
A. We want you to be 100% satisfied with our soap. If for any reason, you are not satisfied, let us know. We'll do our best to make it right for you. Please keep in mind the nature of natural, personal care products, and understand that we cannot accept for exchange items that you have opened, handled, cut or used. We do not accept the return of products because a customer doesn't care for the scent of the product they ordered, and this includes our unscented soaps that have the natural odour of the vegetable oils from which they are made. Shipping costs are always non-refundable.
